At Crowe & Dunlevy, we appreciate and understand that when the legal profession better mirrors the community it serves, the community and the legal profession benefit. Because of that appreciation, diversity, equity, and inclusion have long been integral components to the fabric of the firm and are cultivated through Crowe & Dunlevy’s Diversity Committee, led by Christopher Staine and Aimee Majoue. For example, through the Diversity Committee, we evaluate and leverage our differences and strengths to best serve our clients and community. We also seek to mitigate the diversity pipeline issues that still plague the legal profession through our Diversity Scholars Program, providing thousands of dollars of financial assistance, along with externship and mentorship opportunities, to diverse law students at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Oklahoma City School of Law, and the University of Tulsa College of Law. We also use an integrated approach to create an inclusive and equitable culture that is focused on the recruitment, retention, professional development, and promotion of our lawyers and staff, irrespective of gender, race, or sexual orientation.

This year, as part of Crowe & Dunlevy’s intentional efforts to engage with and support our diverse Oklahoma community, we will celebrate Juneteenth through a community-focused event.  Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.  To honor this important day in America’s history, the firm, in partnership with OKC Black Eats, will host “Food Truck Friday” near its offices at 324 N. Robinson, in downtown Oklahoma City. “Food Truck Friday” is a pre-Juneteenth celebration, scheduled from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, June 17, that will celebrate African American culture and cuisine with a variety of locally Black-Owned food trucks and entertainment, while creating a space to discuss and learn more about Juneteenth.  We invite you to join the celebration!
